Lies from the Conservatives… Starring Peter Braid.
Posted on 05 February 2010
I have never seen a clearer example of Conservative talking points making one of their MP’s look incredibly foolish than in this video. My former MP Peter Braid (from when I lived in Waterloo) gets completely embarrassed by Bob Rae for the lies in his talking points… then continues to repeat the same things over and over, never addressing the questions and just looking foolish overall. Check it out, it made my day.

Think MP Braid doesn’t deserve to be in office?
Neither do I.

I wasn’t only Dewar and Rae after him…Tom Clark was after him, also.
Yeah, I think that whole issue of the left vote splitting will be a non-issue come the next time we hit the polls.
I think it was 17 votes, but close enough. Telegdi is going to destroy him this time around. People only didn’t vote for him (and instead green or NDP) because they figured he was secure. Now that people have seen what can happen he will get back in easily.
Haha, what a joke. Braid only won by like 14 votes or something in the recount in KW, did he not? Shouldn’t be hard to take him down in the next election after this showing.
I’d also like to point out the NDP guy embarrasses him just as much or more than Bob Rae. I know you love the Liberals so dearly but do give credit to the other party when he sticks a wedge up Peter Braid’s ass as well
Ok, fair critique sir… it was both the NDP and Bob… But I just think Bob is awesome. Hahaha.
Yes, let’s give credit where credit is due. Though Mr Rae made some excellent points, I think the best part was when Paul Dewar sympathized with Braid – and gave him credit for attempting to defend something he clearly didn’t know anything about.
My gf and I watched this the other night and couldn’t stop laughing at how he would get stumped and stuck for words. Then it kinda made me feel sad, because this guy is actually my MP. The feeling of “owned” is a recurring theme in this video. I would almost feel bad and say poor guy never stood a chance (I mean, he did get double-teamed), but defending prorogation and this bs about people attacking the integrity of the troops makes me want to puke. None of his speech carried a hint of independent thought (and he got bitched at by the host for talking points), so I have no sympathy for the guy.
I have a feeling Telegdi will get his 17 votes this time around.
